Replay: Michael Bisping slays the legend of the spider, beats Anderson Silva by weird decision

Things just felt uneasy when you saw Anderson Silva and his chin dressed in a UFC Reebok uniform. The greatest UFC middleweight of all-time versus the greatest UFC middleweight asshole of all-time. So was the scene for the main event of UFC London. A year away from the cage and fresh off a Thai Blue sex pill scandal Silva really needed a win. In front of his countryman and finally getting that big money main event slot, Michael Bisping really needed a win.

The opening round was more respect and feeling each other than action, which surprised many due to the sheer number of d**k jokes Bisping lobbed at Silva during the prefight build up. Then out of nowhere Bisping put his stamp on round one by rocking Silva with a combo and denying The Spider a post bell hug as the frame ended. Bisping is not a hugger.

In the second round Bisping poured gasoline on the spider and even dropped the legend with a left hook. Punches in bunches Michael Bisping is now tooling Anderson Silva on the feet? Yup.

And then Anderson Silva entered the Matrix and floored Bisping with a flying knee late in the third round. Good God Almighty Spider. Insane and Bisping gets saved by the bell despite eating nothing but Silva’s chin. Silva even attempted to celebrate by climbing the cage but the fight was not over.

Somehow this cluster fuck of a fight got some eye pokes and low blows in the fourth round, only to still make it to the fifth and final round. In the final round Silva unloaded again with a front kick. Vintage Anderson Silva front kick to the face! The fight would go all five rounds with Bisping winning a close, strange, yet somewhat satisfying decision thanks to his newfound iron chin.
