Featherweights collide!
Billy Quarantillo meets the flashy Edson Barboza in the co-main event of UFC Kansas City. Billy ‘Q’ looks to make it two wins in a row, while Barboza tries to bounce back from two losses himself.
Round 1:
Quarantillo attempts a takedown on Barboza to start the fight. Barboza defends it well and they separate. Barboza hits Quarantillo with a hard leg kick. Quarantillo works the jab but Barboza continues the leg kick attack. Quarantillo shoots for another takedown but is unsuccessful yet again in securing it. Barboza separates from Quarantillo. Barboza finds success in the striking department, effectively landing his combinations. Barboza lands a knee on Quarantillo (who is rushing in) which puts him down. The referee quickly stops the contest, leaving Barboza as the winner.
