Paul Daley vs. Jordan Radev now goes to a catch weight of 176lbs at BAMMA 7

Some dude named ‘Furious Pete’ consumed nearly six pounds of third-degree hot sauce boneless wings in ten minutes! Check it out. That’s almost the same amount of weight Paul Daley needed to lose in two hours after he weighed in at 176lbs for his welterweight fight at BAMMA 7 against Jordan Radev (20-4). Daley refused to shift the weight, citing a lack of sauna as reason for his weight issue. Ariel Helwani reported the fighter’s hotel’s sauna broke fourty-five minutes before the weigh-ins, and we are left to assume that Daley was at the back of the queue. Fortunately for us fight fans, Jordan Radev is flexible in his approach to weight categories and accepted a catch weight fight of 176 lbs in exchange for a percentage of Daley’s purse.

This means that Radev vs. Daley remains one of the fights that Americans can watch for free on BAMMA’s Facebook page tomorrow. However, those of you excited to see Leonardo Santos vs. Rob Sinclair will be sorely disappointed as Santos will not be on the card. He has been replaced at short notice by Diego Vital who some of you may have seen losing a split decision to Tim Newman at BAMMA 5 back in February. For a moment I was worried we wouldn’t get to see Daley vs. Radov but that’s passed so now Furious Pete now occupies my mind. That guy is an enigma. [Source]
