Overeem says he is not going to wait for a stinking title fight to get back in the cage

If scientists ever develop a formula for creating a super human being I am certain there is going to be large amounts of DNA from Dutch males included in the chemical makeup. The Dutch men seem to have some mutation in their DNA that enables them to retain large amounts of machismo. Plus an average sized dutch guy is about six feet tall. Size plus manliness, plus an accent-always gives a dude an advantage in action and sci fi movies. Just look at Jean Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, and all the dudes who have played James Bond-all bad ass dudes who ooze manliness, have accents and get all the chicks. JCVD’s (honorary Dutch because Belgium touches the Netherlands and Van Damme is a Dutch surname-close enough) performance in Bloodsport is enough to convince me that this theory applies to real life and therefore Dutch male genetics are just plain superior.

Real life Dutch genetic ass kicking superiority is blantantly obvious in Alistair Overeem. He is a massive human being and there’s something about his quietly calm demeanor that adds more points to his overall intimidation factor. He’s got the kind of presence that causes that slow motion everyone turn and look movie scene type thing to happen whenever he walks in the room. That’s the Overeem Effect in action. I can’t imagine him having to wait around in line for anything and that includes a fight.

According to his manager-Glenn Robinson- on a recent interview with MMA Weekly Radio-Overeem is not going to wait around for a title fight once he is relicensed. Overeem wanted to get the Junior Dos Santos title shot fight immediately upon his return this December, but now that it is confirmed that Cain Velasquez will be taking that fight instead-Overeem is willing to fight anyone they put in front of him.

“First of all, he would have loved to have had the opportunity to fight for the title, but Alistair is a fighter, and as a fighter he will fight whoever they put in front of him.”

“Reality is, he’s training extraordinarily hard, and whoever gets in front of him is going to meet a completely different Alistair. This guy is just dedicated to rebuilding and rededicating himself.”

“He’s strong; his cardio is crazy. He’s training with pro football players, a whole team of pro football players. We ran out of people large enough to fend him off, so we put him with a whole pro football team to do cardio,”

“He’s going to be ready to fight the second that there’s a fight. He’s not going to need a camp, because he’s never left camp. The day that he’s allowed to be licensed, if they want him to fight the next day, he’ll be ready.”

It doesn’t matter who or when-Reem is ready. He gives new a whole new meaning to the DTF acronym. He’s down to fight. [Source]
