Sean O’Malley has weighed in on recent shootings as well as abortion.
The latest episode of the UFC star’s podcast quickly got controversial as co-host Tim Welch opened up the room for discussion regarding the news. Welch cited there has been multiple mass shootings lately in California, Maryland, Oklahoma and Tennessee, with a horrific school shooting happening in Nashville on March 27.
“Every day there’s like a shooting,” Welch said. “It’s like, you can’t take people’s guns, but should you make it harder to get them?”
O’Malley: ‘What If Abortion Was Legal And Easier?’
O’Malley offered up abortion as a solution to decrease the likelihood of shooters.
“What about this? What if abortion was legal and easier, and all these f*cking idiots that are shooting people up are people that shouldn’t have been born,” O’Malley said. “Their parents are crack heads. They’re like, ‘well, we can’t get an abortion’. You know what I mean?”
O’Malley On The Covenant School Shooting
After vouching for abortion, ‘Suga’ also gave his two cents on the Covenant School shooting, where seven people (including the shooter) were killed at a Christian school. The shooter was 28 year-old Audrey Hale, who was transgender. Hale had two assault-style weapons and a pistol on their person as well as two shotguns in their home.
“That shit was f*cking crazy,” O’Malley said of the shooting. “[Gun] transactions, transgenders, it’s getting out of hand— getting out of trans.
“I think we need to f*cking smoke some weed, eat some mushrooms, do some acid and f*cking figure out a game plan. Us, me and you could figure it out.”
