Just a little over a year ago the news that the UFC had purchased Strikeforce was such a shock that all of us, even the most jaded of fans and keyboard warrioring ‘journalists’, had to run to our bathroom mirrors to check and make sure our heads didn’t suffer spontaneous implosion. In fact it was so astonishing we used the biggest font we’ve ever used in an article title banner for that story. You know something has blown our minds when our title font gets a ‘chubby’ over it.
Unfortunately, today’s news isn’t shocking at all, but ‘it be like that sometimes.’ Just put on a surprised face like Arianny’s when she experiences the Overeem Effect and love us anyway. We are excited about UFC on FOX 3 in New Jersey and we’re excited about this Johny Hendricks vs Josh Koscheck fight so we’re going to tell you that Johny Hendricks can’t wait to hit Josh Koscheck. Of course he can’t wait, he’s a fighter and fighters tend to like to hit other people and get paid for it. It is very Captain Obvious of us, but we still thought you’d like to hear Johny say it himself.
