Nate Diaz boxes up Gray Maynard to end the ‘trilogy,’ calls the general assembly ‘Silly mother*****ers’

You know, I don’t personally consider this a trilogy fight between Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz. The first fight was an exhibition, and while it led to Nate winning TUF 5, it probably had little bearing on him getting a contract with the UFC. Thus, the series is officially tied 1-1, and unofficially 2-1: Nate. Normally, I would ask for another fight, because yolo, but I don’t think it would be wise for Gray Maynard to step into the Octagon again.

Nate Diaz walked into the Mandalay Bay Events Center coming off one of the worst, flatfooted runs he’s ever had, but he looked reinvigorated and pummeled Gray into black and blue with a smear of red running down the left side of his face. Gray needs to walk away. He looks slow, and lacks a chin. It’s best he leaves the sport now before it’s too late.

For his part, Nate called out Anthony Pettis and Ben Henderson with Gilbert Melendez under his arm, which would be an awesome tag team match (especially with making Benson and Pettis tag team partners). He then called just about everybody ‘silly mother****ers’ and we don’t know why.

Gary LaPlante may have cleared that up (somewhat):
