My God… Dan Henderson will fight Gegard Mousasi at UFC on FOX 14

You know that time machine you’ve been working on every other Saturday? Now would be a good time to fire it up. Dan Henderson will return to the middleweight division to take on Gegard Mousasi at UFC on Fox 14. The Henderson versus Mousasi clash will serve as the co-main event under the previously announced Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson light heavyweight bout.

The 44-year-old Henderson truly has his back against the wall and in this case that wall represents a potential retirement from the sport. Hendo has dropped four of his last five fights and is coming off a decisive third round submission defeat at the hands of Daniel Cormier. The move down to middleweight for Henderson will be his first fight at 185 pounds since a 2010 defeat to Jake Shields.

Mousasi will look to use a win over Henderson has his own welcome back to the division’s upper echelon. In an rematch of an 2008 Dream middleweight fight won by Mousasi, “The Dreamcatcher” was choked out by Ronaldo Souza in September of this year. The 29 year old Mousasi has posted a 2-2 record in the UFC since coming over from Strikeforce.
