Miesha Tate would totally be down to coach TUF opposite Ronda Rousey

Maybe Miesha Tate is on to something here. The Ultimate Fighter is in need of a shake up and how else to do it but by getting rid of that damn Y chromosome in order to stop TUF from being such a sausagefest all the time. Fascinating idea Miesha, fascinating. The only trouble would be getting enough free agent female fighters (alliteration!) to participate in the reality series… Your stranglehold on female MMA is showing it’s power now, Invicta.

Miesha discussed the idea of her and Ronda coaching on The Ultimate Fighter while guesting on MMAWeeklyRadio. Here’s what she said:

“I love it,” “I think that would be the fight to put on if they were going to do that. It doesn’t get any better than Ronda and I; two ladies who honestly have a rival (sic) between each other.”

“I feel like there’s unfinished business. I have to hold myself accountable. I think I allowed myself to be mentally beat before I came through the cage,”

“I was confident that I was going to win the fight, maybe too confident, but I wasn’t in the right mindset. I should have been more conscious of what was going on and not paid as much attention to promotion and things like that. I realize that now.”

“I think it would be a huge selling point and a huge hit. Ronda knows how to talk trash, and hype things and whatnot, and I’d just be keeping it cool and have fun. I think we play well off of each other,”

“Out of any women’s mixed martial arts fight that’s happened before, we set the bar higher. I think there wouldn’t be two better females to host an Ultimate Fighting reality show.”

I don’t want to be that guy, but it’s Saturday so why not – Ronda/Cyborg would probably be even better than Ronda/Miesha with a finale on UFC on FOX. But that’s just me, a lonely dude writing about fighting from his grandma’s basement.
