- Conor McGregor was entertained by UFC Singapore headliner Max Holloway vs. Korean Zombie
- “Notorious” did not shy away from lauding both “Blessed” and Korean Zombie
Max Holloway and the Korean Zombie undeniably put on quite a remarkable show at UFC Singapore this past weekend. In fact, the pair even earned some praise from Conor McGregor, who rarely commends his fellow UFC fighters.
Conor was Thrilled
Sharing his thoughts on social media, the evidently thrilled “Notorious” raved about how entertaining Holloway vs. Jung was, especially “Blessed’s” KO on the Korean Zombie.
“What a shot, what a performance! Classic Zombie, classic Holloway. Tremendous stuff! @ufc, as advertised,” McGregor wrote on Twitter.
McGregor then lauded Holloway and Korean Zombie, respectively in his follow-up tweets.
“Well done Korean Zombie What a goer!,” he commented.
“Man!!! Max fuckin’ Holloway!,” he later tweeted.
One fight, two different aftermaths
Holloway vs. Korean Zombie was indeed, one heck of a fight as a whole but the aftermath of the epic showdown tells two different stories. For “Blessed,” his victory only proves that he is still worthy of another shot at the title, while Korean Zombie figured the defeat signaled the end of his MMA career.
As it stands, Holloway retains his No. 1 featherweight contender status and he is vocal about gunning for a fourth title fight with Alexander Volkanovski. On the other hand, Korean Zombie already opened up about entering retirement life.
As for McGregor, he fancied making a UFC return in December but later began having doubts if it would come to fruition given his issues with USADA.
