Another PFL Newcomer
Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is arguably PFL’s biggest new signing thus far but Wu is also making headlines. Apart from having a 7-4 professional MMA record, “The Shadow” is also a regular training partner of famous Facebook founder and MMA practitioner Mark Zuckerberg.
Wu last gained traction in the MMA world when his training footage with Zuckerberg went viral online. Aside from being a training partner, Wu is also one of the people in Zuckerberg’s circle that persuade the young CEO to practice martial arts.
An exciting featherweight Prospect
Wu has been fighting since 2016 and after going 1-1 as an amateur, the 27-year-old turned pro in 2018. The featherweight prospect has had stints with various MMA promotions but he most notably fought at Bellator and Uriah Faber’s A1 Combat 5.
Wu last fought in February when he beat Kimbert Alintozon via split decision at WOTD: Enter the Dragon 9 in his home country in Taiwan.
PFL is looking forward to Wu’s arrival but it is yet to be known if he has what it takes to join the ranks of the promotion’s most decorated featherweights such as Chris Wade, Bubba Jenkins, and Lance Palmer.
