To tell you the truth, we didn’t even intend for the past few days to be so heavy on marijuana discussion in the context of MMA. Quite frankly it would have been fantastic if all of this went down April 20th. That would have been a nice little feature. Instead, we’re hitting the end of May and we can’t throw a metaphorical rock without hitting something that has to do with THC. Heck, we even made an entire Top Ten list on the subject.
Marijuana, the topic is smoking. We just can’t help but discuss it — but neither can the entire MMA industry. Therefore we didn’t even instruct our @LayzieTheSavage to track down the stars of UFC 160 and get them to give their opinion of Pat Healy forfeiting his $130,000 bonus just because he tested positive for marijuana. He just sort of did it on his own accord, and that’s where the ‘savage’ part of his moniker comes in.
