Reigning PFL women’s featherweight champion, Larissa Pacheco returned to the PFL Smart Cage on Friday night as she continues her quest to defend her title in 2023.
Pachecho made headlines last year after scoring a massive upset against Kayla Harrison, depriving the two-time featherweight champion of a three-peat and taking home another million-dollar check. With Harrison not participating in the 2023 season, Pacheco is the heavy favorite to repeat. Standing in her way was 7-4 fighter Amber Leibrock. Making her promotional debut in April, Leibrock scored a highlight-reel-worthy knockout of Martina Jindrová, setting the stage for her high-stakes showdown with Pacheco.

Larissa Pacheco came out immediately, putting pressure on Leibrock. Pushing her to the cage, Leibrock unloaded a flurry of strikes that had her opponent fighting simply to survive. Smelling blood in the water, Pacheco poured on the offense, eventually sending Leibrock stumbling to the mat. With Leibrock clearly unable to defend herself, the referee stepped in and called for the stoppage before more damage could be done.
