The ship may have sailed on a fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, but perhaps we can see them in another competition altogether: ‘The Ultimate Fighter’.

While the former UFC lightweight champion hung up the gloves back in 2020, Khabib hasn’t retired when it comes to his rivalry with Ferguson. The two have been going back-and-forth on social media for years. In another attempt to settle long awaited score, ‘El Cucuy’ wants to coach ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ against Khabib. ‘The Eagle’ also likes the idea.

Dana White Will Consider It

Dana White was approached about this unique TUF scenario on the Spinning Backfist Podcast. Originally, the UFC President wasn’t too keen on having two coaches not fight each other after the season was over, but he was ultimately convinced it may be worthwhile when it comes to Nurmagomedov and Ferguson going at it.

“I’ll consider it,” White said. “I will absolutely entertain that idea.”

Another Attempt To Bring Khabib Out Of Retirement?

In White’s eyes, perhaps the beef between the two could be enough to bring Khabib out of retirement.

“Hopefully they’ll get pissed off enough at each other that they actually wanna fight and I can make it… I’m in. You sold me.”

How do you feel about Khabib vs. Tony potentially coaching a season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’?
