Kawajiri’s ankle is alright, everyone can relax

Whenever you shake Shinya Aoki’s hand, there’s always that fleeting thought that if he doesn’t let go, your life is pretty much over. We’ve seen it at Dynamite!! 2009 which resulted in Shinya Aoki being fired from his own gym. In a post-fight interview at Dream 15, Aoki made it clear that when he grabbed Kawajiri’s leg, he was hoping for an ‘open-fracture‘. Fortunately, Shinya Aoki failed in his attempt at shattering Kawajiri’s ankle and according to the Crusher’s blog, he should be recovering relatively soon.

It has been one week since the fight, I haven’t thought about anything and I haven’t gone anywhere, I have stayed indoors.

Well, the biggest reason is that I have been injured as well and walking was tough.

About the injury, there’s no bone fracture and a surgical operation is not needed, it’s a ligament injury.

Since the end of the fight, more than feeling down, being absentminded might be right.

But, I’ve had enough of doing nothing and living a depraved life, I’m thinking about starting to move my body only little by little from tomorrow and onward.

Take it easy Kawajiri and just be happy that you didn’t turn out like Hironaka in this jiu-jitsu bout against Shinya Aoki. Ouch. [Source]
