Katy Collins Passed Away From a Brain Aneurysm
Coming together for a bigger purpose is one of the most special traits of the MMA community. With the heaviest of hearts, the MMA world was shocked by the unfortunate passing of Bellator veteran Katy Collins. Collins was 32 years old and suffered complications due to a brain aneurysm.
Competing last in Legacy Fight Alliance (LFA), Collins was most well-known for her time spent at Bellator. Well known by her nickname “Red Dragon” Collins fought for various promotions such as LFA, Bellator, and Invicta.
Collins was said to be a loving, caring, selfless individual with a huge heart. Her brain aneurysm happened Friday, September 20th. Gloomily, Collins peacefully left the Earth five days later after

Katy’s coach JT Tilley took to social media to reveal the unfortunate news. Sharing the news on Facebook, Tilley showed a collage of photos and a heartfelt message.

…I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live your dream with you. wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.”
Survived by two sons, Katy has a GoFundMe page available to the public to help with the cost of medical expenses. Furthermore, the family will need all the help they can with funeral and medical costs. At this time, any help at all is so appreciated.
