Josiel Silva really likes his left hook. For the second time in as many fights, ‘Açougueiro’ landed his signature strike and turned out the opposition’s lights.
Taking on Islam Meshev as part of the ACA 149 undercard on December 16th, Silva delivered yet another highlight-reel stoppage against an opponent who was hoping to get back into the win column following a loss to Mehdi Baidulaev at ACA 141. Instead, Meshev would fall for the second time in a row to the streaking Brazilian.
In the opening minute of the bout, Meshev stepped in to deliver a body kick when Silva threw an overhand right followed by a left hook that hit the mark and instantly rendered his opponent unconscious.

Josiel Silva earned his fifth straight victory at the event in Moscow, Russia. The win moved Silva to 18-5 overall. Debuting for the Russian promotion Absolute Championship Akhmat in 2019, Silva faced early adversity, dropping four of his first six bouts. Since then Silva has scored finishes in his last five outings including three via knockout and two submissions. Silva scored a similar left-hook knockout in his last outing against Goga Shamatava at ACA 140 in October.
Dropping three of his last four bouts, Islam Meshev fell to 12-6 in his pro career. His last victory inside the ACA cage came against Cleverson Silva via split decision in December 2021.
