Josh Thomson just ruined Nate Diaz's 420 with a stupendous performance at UFC on FOX 7

I sat next to Josh Thomson on a plane from Singapore to Japan last year and we talked for the entire seven-hour duration. He told me that DREAM offered him a ridiculous amount of money to fight Kawajiri and Dynamite!! 2010 (like way more than the number you have in your head) and took the fight on an incredible short notice. Thomson lost that fight by decision — let’s face it, Kawajiri was over him like Reddit was over the Boston psycho. It was pure domination — but before that bout, his last loss was a somewhat controversial decision against Gilbert Melendez at Strikeforce: Evolution back in 2009. Tonight at UFC on FOX 7, it’s clear that Josh Thomson got Django-like revenge on the 209 in his brutal defeat of Nate Diaz.

For a Diaz to lose on 4/20 — folks there aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe the multi-layered amount of irony in it. People claimed Thomson would be rusty going in tonight, but what people fail to realize is that Josh Thomson goes into every fight rusty — and he somehow pulls off stuff like this.

Massive props to Josh Thomson on his stellar win and impressive debut into the UFC.
