Ah Jose. Why make your MMA debut at Dream 9 against a Japanese dude that’s 7′ 2″. Why? The $100,000+ pay check? I understand. Look, everyone knew Canseco was going to lose his fight against Hong Man Choi. After admitting that he was ‘afraid of his opponent’ shortly before the fight, its safe to say that Jose knew he was going chalk up an L. But hey, you didn’t think it was going to go on for that long. Canseco almost lasted a full two minutes in the ring with a guy that looks like he was assembled from discarded parts of smaller Japanese guys. He landed a couple of decent overhand rights and a few kicks. Jose Canseco got what he wanted, a nearly sold out arena cheering his name and a check for six figures in his pocket (and a smoking hot girlfriend).
