It’s pretty remarkable what the human body can do to repair itself when faced with extreme trauma. We’re pretty resilient creatures when it comes to physical adversities — mother nature removes one of our legs and we just literally construct one with technology and defy the laws of the universe. Stitches are still a primitive invention that holds an incredibly amount of utility when our skin needs to be pulled over our face to minimize the scaring of a deep cut. Nevertheless, stitching one’s skin will still leave a mark — a permanent reminder that your body is just a sack of plasma revolving in the solar system at 67,062 miles per hour.
