Jamahal Hill did not shy away from criticizing Colby Covington over his lackluster performance against Leon Edwards at UFC 296.

Colby got embarrassed

Hill was one of the UFC fighters who did not appreciate Covington’s foul comments about Edwards’ late father. Speaking on his YouTube channel, “Sweet Dreams” said Covington surprisingly looked scared inside the cage after all the things he said. Hill also admitted that he wanted to see “Chaos” get knocked out.

“You do this whole thing, running your mouth, to like sell the fight like saying things that are just like crazy and cross certain lines and things like that and then you come out and fight like you are completely terrified,” Hill said of Covington.

“I wanted to see a knockout. I ain’t gonna lie. I wanted to see him get slept, banged, knocked unconscious you know but he got embarrassed and like completely, he got dominated in every single facet of the fight he got beat standing, hands, clinch, grappling, wrestling he got outwrestled,” he added. “It was crazy it was a one-sided one-sided fight.”

Colby is a clown

Hill also ripped Covington for claiming that he didn’t get beat up by Edwards. According to “Sweet Dreams,” Colby was a “clown” for lying as he saw “Chaos” looked hurt after the fight.

“I think he said afterwards he didn’t take any damage but then I think I seen a clip of him walking out with ice on his knees and it’s just funny. It’s just like, I mean you just got to take a character and a clown for a clown,” Hill concluded.

Hill was forced to relinquish his light heavyweight title after a devastating injury. He is expected to get a shot at reclaiming his belt against current light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

As for Covington, he is now hoping to get slated against fellow welterweight contender Stephen Thompson.
