Jake Paul believes he would “beat Conor McGregor’s a*s” in a boxing match.

Over the past few years, Paul has called out McGregor several times while taking over the influencer boxing scene.

Since then, ‘The Problem Child’ has made the matchup more realistic by evolving into one of the most talked about fighters due to his 7-1 professional boxing record, with his wins mostly against MMA fighters.

Earlier this week, Paul participated in a Q&A posted on the DAZN Boxing YouTube channel before his upcoming fight on Friday. When asked about a potential fight with McGregor, the 26-year-old responded by saying:

“A fight between me and [Conor] McGregor would be pretty freaking massive and entertaining and fun. I would beat his a*s. He won’t fight me. At this point, it’s funny how it went from me calling him out to that seeming crazy to now me being bigger in the sport than he is and him knowing my skill level is greater than his is in such a short amount of time. Life’s crazy.”

Jake Paul made his professional boxing debut in January 2020, defeating YouTuber AnEsonGib by first-round knockout.

Following a win against former NBA player Nate Robinson, Paul began taking out retired/aging MMA fighters, including Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley x2, and Anderson Silva.

After winning six consecutive fights, ‘The Problem Child’ suffered his lone defeat, a close split decision against Tommy Fury. Luckily for him, Paul bounced back in August by securing a unanimous decision win against Nate Diaz

What’s at stake between Jake Paul and Andre August?

On Friday, December 15, Jake Paul will return to action with a different approach to his boxing career. Instead of a well-known opponent, Paul has signed on for a ten-round boxing match against Andre August, a 35-year-old with a 10-1-1 (5 KO/TKOs) professional boxing record.

August could potentially change his life by securing a win against Paul. Meanwhile, ‘The Problem Child’ doesn’t see this fight the same way. He’s not looking for money or attention this time. The 26-year-old is fighting on Friday to prove he’s serious about becoming a potential world champion.

Therefore, a win against August would put the Youtuber-turned-boxer one step closer to his goals. With that said, a loss would end his boxing career, as whatever fans left would likely not believe he has what it takes to pursue greatness.
