Ian McCall isn’t impressed by Michael Phelps and can’t understand why you people are

Oddly enough, I had the exact same conversation with some friends on Saturday night that Ian McCall did with this dude conducting an interview, except there wasn’t a microphone and the rest of the world isn’t going to see us belittling the ‘greatest Olympian of all time.’  Sure, Michael Phelps won a lot of gold medals, but he also had the opportunity to participate in more events than someone who competes in a sport governed by discipline or weight restrictions, limiting you to one event per Olympic games.  Perhaps the single-event Olympians (like boxers or wrestlers) earn less recognition, but the validity of their accomplishment isn’t any less impressive.  Regardless, Ian McCall is pissed off that most of the world feels it is and this is his soap box to rant on.  Props to Uncle Creepy for taking the extra shot at Olympic power-walking. Power-walking is totally pointless, like volleyball.
