By now, if you come here frequently or otherwise stay informed on BJJ happenings, you know Xande Ribeiero killed it at World Pro, winning both his 202 LB division (defeating Romulo Barral in the final) and the Absolute Division (defeating Andre Galvao in the final). That’s huge. He’s come up short in his last few attempts at big tournaments and we see this as a major turning point for him. He’s back.
Check out this great HL video (created by these guys) of Xande’s performance at the tournament. Versus both Galvao and Barral, you really get a sense of how dominant he can be and the respect he commands from his opponents. That’s what pressing your game is all about.
