Herschel Walker wants another MMA fight, and this time he wants one in the UFC

In 1989, Herschel Walker was traded to the Minnesota Vikings from the Dallas Cowboys for eleven players. Eleven. Just under a dozen human athletes were deemed an even trade for one Herschel Walker and his admitted multiple personalities. Sure, this was over twenty years ago, but using NFL math, if a late-20’s Herschel Walker can command eleven players, a 50-year-old Herschel could probably be drafted in the first ten rounds of the NFL draft if he wanted to be. Or at least he could walk on a team and probably make a roster.

All of this is a roundabout way of letting it be known that Herschel Walker wants a UFC fight, and I’m down to watch.

So what does this mean for Herschel a few years removed from his dominating wins in Strikeforce? Well, Herschel and his 7th place Olympic bobsledding run on his resume could supplement his 2-0 record and sketchy relationship with Dana White with a one-off shot in the UFC to finally put the capper on his long list of life accomplishments.

Herschel was on The Lavar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes on 106.7 The Fan in Washington D.C. and let it be known that he wants this, badly:

“I would love to do it again,” “I absolutely love MMA. I think it’s an excellent sport.

“If I was younger, I would be doing it right now. Because I’m a little bit older and I have a business going, I would like to do one more fight and then, I think, it’s time for me step aside and give it to the young people. But I would love to do one more fight in the UFC”
