The GLORY 6 Istanbul weigh-ins took place today, as all fighters competing tomorrow in Istanbul stepped on the scale to make the fights official. The event of course can be watched live here on LiverKick by clicking here.
Gokhan Saki and Daniel Ghita of course are rematching in the main event and weight-wise, things are a lot different compared to last time. Saki and Ghita both weighed in at basically the same weight. Saki weighed 108.5kg (239.2 lbs) and Ghita weighed 108.8kg (239.9 lbs).
I’ve been saying it for a while, but the days of Gokhan Saki being a small heavyweight are long gone. This isn’t the first time he’s weighed this heavy either. Against Carter Williams in May of 2012, Saki weighed 108.9kg (240.1 lbs) while fully clothed. At the GLORY Grand Slam, he weighed 103.4kg (228 lbs).
