Georges St-Pierre doesn’t see a need for Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg to fight one another.
Musk and Zuckerberg went back-and-forth on social media and the two agreed to fight one another. Dana White immediately jumped on board and wanted to promote the fight if it happens, and he revealed both are serious about making it happen.
However, as of right now, nothing has been signed and talks of the fight have quieted down. According to Georges St-Pierre, he believes the fight actually won’t happen.
St-Pierre has doubts Musk-Zuckerberg Happens
“I don’t know who will win. You know what I mean? It’s a good question. I don’t know if this fight will happen… I’m curious as a fan but if I speak with my heart, I think a man like Elon is extremely busy for example, and I know Mr. Zuckerberg is probably extremely busy as well,” St-Pierre said about Musk-Zuckerbergon the red carpet of the UFC Hall of Fame. “Most of Elon’s time is spent on working on things that change the fate of humanity. Therefore, I think they have more important things to do than taking some of their time to get ready for a cage fight. I know it’s like dropping a cold shower on you guys, but that is what I really believe. I could lie and try to gain some attraction but that is what I really believe. In the depth of my heart, I hope it gets resolved in a different way.”
Along with thinking Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg won’t happen, Georges St-Pierre hopes it doesn’t as well. He knows Musk and Zuckerberg are two of the smartest people alive, so doesn’t want to see either suffer brain damage from a pointless fight.
“That is brain damage, we don’t want to damage his brain. We want him to keep working, he is changing the fate of humanity, these types of men are too rare. We can’t waste that,” St-Pierre added.
Georges St-Pierre shares insights on his training session with billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk.
“That was a great experience, I have a lot of fun with Elon,” St-Pierre said. “He’s someone I really, really admire for all his accomplishments and all his ideas that he stands for. We trained together and what I can say is that he’s much stronger than the average man and he’s very tough.
“He had a judo background, and we know from his history: when he fixes his goal, he’s unstoppable. And that’s the quality of a very good fighter, if you take that into fighting, that’s the most important thing. Because in combat, things doesn’t always — things aren’t always easy as you expect, there’s always obstacles.”
As of right now, it’s still uncertain if Musk vs. Zuckerberg happens, but Georges St-Pierre hopes it doesn’t.
