Francis Ngannou On Brock Lesnar: That’s The Fight I Have Been Dreaming For

UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou announced his plans to take some time off’ from MMA after UFC 220 loss to Stipe Miocic.

Last week Ngannou announced on social media that he is back in business and addressed heavyweight Derrick Lewis, who has been talking shit about ‘The Predator’ while he was away from Octagon. But moreover, he is aiming for a much bigger fight.

Not only that Mark Hunt also recently told Sporting News that he would like to share Octagon with the Francis Ngannou on the Hawaii card in August.

Ngannou recently appeared on the recent edition of The MMA Hour, where he addressed Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt, but said he would prefer a former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE superstar, Brock Lesnar matchup:(Quotes via MMAFighting)

“Derrick Lewis is No. 6 contender, it’s not really what I want, but if it’s the fight they are going to set up, I am going to fight it. I am still looking forward to work for the title shot. That’s my goal,” he said. “If afterward they want to give me that, a lot of people want to fight me. I saw Mark Hunt, he will be a great one. I heard about.. but for myself I want Brock Lesnar,” he added with a smile. “I like the fight. He look very, very big and strong. I really want to try that.”

Brock Lesnar hasn’t set foot inside the cage since his UFC 200 contest with Mark Hunt, which he won via unanimous decision. Lesnar’s win over Hunt’ was overturned to a no contest following the revelation that he’d failed drug tests before and after the historic card which led to a suspension. Lesnar’s WWE contract set to expire after Wrestlemania 34 on April 8, 2018, and speculation are that he could be considering another return to MMA.

Ngannou urges that heavyweight Brock Lesnar should return to UFC, that sport needs Lesnar in a big way:

“Please Brock, come back my friend. I need, we need you here to put some fun in the division. I need to give me the fight, this is what I have been waiting for and training for.”

If not Lesnar, “The Predator” also showed interest in testing his hands on heavyweight boxing Anthony Joshua, after hearing that the Brit had teased a move to MMA:

“I heard Anthony Joshua say he’s gonna fight in MMA and if he wants to face me and I was like, ‘Hey, you’re welcome, man,’” Ngannou said. “We gonna do it both sides, in the Octagon and inside the ring.”

Who do you think Francis Ngannou should battle next?
