It was with great trepidation that I pressed the ‘publish’ button on this article. I literally covered my eyes with one hand and after much fumbling, deleting the article once and then setting the author to Bauzen, I took the hand off my face and finally just clicked the button. It was a huge waste of time. For that, Zeus, I am sorry. I’m sure you handsome MiddleEasy readers can share my anxiety about announcing any type of upcoming bout. Who knows if this fight will even go down? I want it to happen, don’t get me wrong. But with the ridiculous amount of injuries and acts of god that have scrapped bouts over the last year, I’ve learned to not grow attached to anything besides my rapidly deteriorating office chair.
It’s like ‘just scrap’ was taken the completely wrong way with all of these fights getting canceled.
So Phil Davis is fighting Forrest Griffin at UFC 155 now that Chael Sonnen was yanked out of his bout with Forrest and was granted a shot at Jon Jones’ title. Forrest has his hands full with another wrestler, this one even more explosive than the last, and unlike Chael Sonnen: Phil loves pink. Lil Nog is surely not pleased.
Here’s the tentative card for UFC 155 that will hopefully take place on December 29th, 2012 if we haven’t been blown up or invaded by aliens.
