“Felony” Charles Bennett Punches Colby Covington; Cam Soda Legends Became the Epic Shit Show It Was Meant To Be

I don’t want to bury the lead here, but there is so much to talk about after Cam Soda Legend’s inaugural event.

So after we all enjoy “Felony” Charles Bennett swinging on Colby Covington, we can unpack all the insanity and hilarity that happened in South Florida.

Props to ATT coach extraordinaire Mike Brown for not spilling his beer, while holding two waters in his other hand, while breaking up a fight. That’s a real MMA coach, people.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Cam Soda Legends is the Mixed Martial Arts wing of the pornographic website Cam Soda. Thankfully, Cam Soda remained true to their roots and the production values for the event were hitting all the right notes.

The card featured “Felony” Charles Bennett, Ricco Rodriguez, and Alex Nicholson. So viewers can’t claim they didn’t know exactly what they were getting into.

Curious how Krazy Horse’s fight went? Well… it went just about how you’d expect a Crazy Horse fight in 2018 to go. It started out all laughs, but ended with Bennett knocked out on the floor.

Nothing screams MMA more than a fighter giving the middle finger to his unconscious opponent. But this porn site’s first foray into MMA promotion was just chalk-full of brilliant moments like this. What exactly do I mean by that?

First, the announcers made references to Kimbo Slice being in attendance despite the well-known fact that Kimbo Slice is deceased. Maybe (just like Elvis south of the Mason Dixon line) in South Florida, Kimbo Slice sightings have a cult following.

Of course, nothing could compare to the post-fight interviews Cam Soda delivered. Listen to this real life announcer speak into a public microphone, and call Alex Nicholson not being in the UFC “fucking bullshit” and then claim he never swears, only to say fucking bullshit again immediately afterward. It’s just too perfect.

Of course, an MMA event ran by a porno cam site had to have some interactive hook. So, Cam Soda allowed viewers to tip fighters as they competed, and naturally they announced the biggest tippers post-fight to the entertainment of all. The UFC should be taking notes.

Shockingly, Alex Nicholson beat Ricco Rodriguez after a bizarre and sudden verbal tap. I still don’t really understand what happened.  I was high as a kite most of the event. But the real main event of the night was all off stage.

South Florida gonna South Florida, and of course with “Platinum” Mike Perry in attendance, shit was bound to pop off. In the most karmic of gestures, Colby Covington was the only one who had to get snuffed in the face, though.

Huge shout out to Nik Lentz for getting the real “World Star Hip Hop” style footage for this scuffle.

All and all, I declare the event a rousing success. I personally cannot wait for the next one. Long live Cam Soda Legends.
