Feijao tested positive for stanozolol, now he’s banned for a year

Damn it, Feijao. Were you that desperate to avenge your knock out loss to Mike Kyle that you had to partake in some hardcore performance enhancing drug action? Should’ve just taken some bath salts bro, as far as I know those aren’t on any athletic commission’s banned substance list (yet), and let’s face it: you would be unstoppable on bath salts. Who needs Ed Soares? Head to a trailer park in Florida and you can probably find a dude willing to chop up a few lines for you in return for a chance to wrap a towel around his neck and be in your corner with Pedro Rizzo at their side.

MMA Junkie is reporting that Rafael Cavalcante has officially tested positive for the banned substance stanozolol, which sounds a lot like a name of a small town in Russia, maybe even a medium-sized city. It’s the same anabolic steroid Cris Cyborg, Chris Leben and Tim Sylvia tested positive for. Thus, the commission is not pleased. Feijao’s sentence has been handed down and he has been banned for a year, fined a bunch of cash, and his fight with Mike Kyle has been overturned to a no-contest.

Now we won’t be able to see Feijao/Mousasi for the Strikeforce light heavyweight title, so my money goes on Keith Jardine getting the shot and a second chance at Gegard as soon as his leg heals.
