All you conspiracy theorists out there, throw on your tin-foil hats and dive deep down the rabbit hole of Strikeforce Fedor vs. Werdum. You’re probably well aware of the rumor floating around the internet that Fedor intentionally fell in Werdum’s guard in order to get his first loss in MMA. As incredible as this may sound, the reasoning behind it was Fedor was reaching an uncomfortable level in his career where people considered him a ‘god’, something that goes against his Russian-Orthodox values. In this post-fight interview, Fedor essentially confirms that this loss was ‘necessary‘ to show that ‘he is not a god‘. Strange stuff.
