Perhaps it’s obvious why so many people ducked Glover Teixeira now. First it was Rampage dropping out due to injury, then it was Shogun who said he had better things to do, but luckily for human kind, Fabio Maldonado decided to show us how tough his chin was. Going forward, nobody will ever doubt how much punishment it can endure. Fabio Maldonado taught us all a lesson tonight. Hopefully he remembers how to speak so he can tell us exactly what that lesson was. Unfortunately, Glover’s power transcends jaws made of unobtainium. Some rapper from my old school hip hop playlist on iTunes once said “If you don’t know, now you know,” and that person might as well have been talking about Glover Teixeira. Dude just picked up an amazing KO victory over a dude who had never been stopped, and it took two doctors, five officials, and three sympathetic cornermen to call an end to the one-sided punishment. We’re not sure who’s next for Glover Teixeira, but we can’t wait.
