Paul Felder Wins Bloody And Battered War Against Edson Barboza!
UFC 242 pay-per-view (PPV) event is happening live now (Saturday, September 7, 2019) from inside the Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
It is co-headlined by the 155-pound fight between two Taekwondo black belts – the former Ring of Combat and Renaissance MMA Lightweight king Edson Barboza and ex-CFFC champ Paul “The Irish Dragon” Felder. Our ref is Herb Dean.
Round 1
Spinning back fist counters the low kick. Felder attacks with a spinning backfist, low kick. Barboza keeps his hands up. Jab Felder. Three quick strikes by Felder, who presses him forward. Fighters clinch up.

High kick by Barboza blocked. Three strong strikes by Barboza. Felder presses him, but Barboza counters with an elbow. Felder’s cut looks nasty. 10-9 Barboza.
Round 2
Good exchange, against spinning backfist counters a low kick. Good front hand Barboza. Strong strikes by Felder. Spinning back kick Edson. It was a good strike to the liver, Barboza runs around his opponent. Left uppercut followed by a low kick.
Barboza takes his foe down!
He is in the full guard, Felder lands elbows. Barboza lands strikes off the top, and it seems Barboza is cut too. Felder defends well. Right hook Edson. Felder goes for the armbar, it seems he could finish it. Barboza slams him and gets up, what a war. Fantastic match.
Low kick exchange. Both fighters are covered in blood. Right hand Felder. Big left hook, Barboza. 1-2 Felder, followed by a right hook. Right low kick.

Paul shoots in, but Barboza stops it, Edson is pressed against the fence, Felder has both under-hooks in. Unsure, I think 10-9 Barboza.
Round 3
Great exchange on both sides, middle kick, and a hook. Barboza looks a bit shaken after the punch he ate. Body punch Felder. Body kick Barboza but Felder is very tough. Right hand to the face Felder. Another body kick, Felder fires back with three punches to the head and a low kick. Low kick Barboza, followed by a spinning backfist, but Felder survives and keeps moving.
Another punch by Felder, Barboza circles around his opponent. Good punch Felder. Spinning back kick Barboza countered by a spinning backfist by Felder, amazing Taekwondo move by Edson. Felder presses Barboza over and over. Right-hand to the face Barboza, but he misses with left and right hook.
Good uppercut by Barboza, both fighters feinting. Left hand Felder. Low kick Barboza. Felder presses his rival against the fence. Elbow to the chin Felder. Felder looks better in this round, he landed more clean strikes.
Great punch exchange on both sides, Barboza shoots in, not even close. Barboza has both under-hooks in. Barboza takes Felder down, “The Irish Dragon” got up instantly, 10-9 Felder.
