Donald Cerrone aka “Cowboy” finished Yancy Medeiros with strikes in the first round of the UFC Austin main event.
Cerrone still has the accuracy and power as he grows older in his career, and this was a bit of a must-win for Cerrone, as this snaps a three-fight losing skid.
The fight started quickly as expected, but the exchanges always went Donald Cerrone’s way, with multi-shot combos rocking Medeiros and sending him to the canvas multiple times before another combo rocked the Medeiros and referee Herb Dean called off the welterweight bout at the 4:58 mark.

Donald Cerrone now is tied for the most wins and most finishes in UFC history as this victory was the 20th career UFC win. Considering Georges St-Pierre and Michael Bisping (who are tied for most wins) are on the way out of the sport.
Yancy Medeiros dropped to 15-5 as he had a three-fight win streak snapped.
