Late Friday night if you live in the Western hemisphere, or Saturday evening in Japan, Daniel Ghita once again stepped into the ring with bad intentions. If you were to ask me last year who would be the Heavyweight to take over the division I’d have a very simple answer for you; Daniel Ghita. I mean, he closed out 2012 with an incredible record of 8-1 with seven of those wins coming by way of brutal Knockout. His loss to Schilt still sits uneasily to this day, but it happened. Then 2013 started off a bit rocky with a loss to perennial fan favorite Gokhan Saki and just when they were primed to meet each other in the GLORY 11 Heavyweight tournament, Rico Verhoeven happened and upset them both.
With this being said, when Daniel Ghita steps into the ring I still fear for the safety of his opponent. Daniel Ghita is a scary dude. On Saturday Daniel Ghita went to battle with Errol Zimmerman once again and much like their last meeting, Ghita left Errol on the mat, but this time, it was a whole hell of a lot scarier As always, .gif by ZProphet.
