Upon writing this article I realized the sheer brilliance of deaf people that read lips in order to navigate in society. It’s a borderline mutant-like ability. Seriously, marvel at the fact that a person can understand exactly what you mean just by the movement of your mouth — regardless of actually hearing the words being spoken. That would be like a fighter knowing what strike their opponent is going to throw simply based on the positioning of their feet. It’s a talent that I, along with 87% of people reading this article, are too talentless to have. That percentage was an arbitrary number, by the way. Most numbers that I pull out of my brain and place in articles on MiddleEasy are fabricated. For example, this is the 4th time in MMA history that a person wearing a UFC hat responded to smack talk from his opponent at the press conference face-off.
