I first read the title of this article as Rousey hasn’t ‘paid her dudes’ and I couldn’t believe Ronda owed Karo Parisyan and Manny Gamburyan money. Then I wondered what Ronda Rousey could possibly buy with her borrowed money — Christmas presents? My mind then drifted to a holiday collaboration that should so obviously be in place at stores across the country: ‘That’s a wrap-ping paper, son‘ by Joe Rogan. That’s holiday decor I can believe in, if only it existed. As of now, it’s a hypothetical concept floating adrift in the sea of infinite thoughts — sort of like how Dan Henderson’s striking coach, Gus Pugliese, believes that Ronda Rousey hasn’t ‘paid her dues’ to headline UFC 157. Where I come from, there’s a pecking order for anything in life. I believe in paying dues. In this particular case, ‘Hendo’ and Machida paid their dues a long time ago. For someone new to come in and have a free ride just seems unfair to them and the whole sport they helped build.
