Cris Cyborg Is Coming Back With Vengeance In Hopes To Climb Her Way Back To The Top!

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto posted on his Twitter that UFC President Dana White has confirmed the super matchup between former UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg (20-2), and current Invicta FC champion Felicia Spencer (7-0).

BREAKING: UFC is finalizing Cyborg Justino’s next bout, against former Invicta FC champion Felicia Spencer, UFC president Dana White tells @ESPN. Co-main event for UFC 240 on July 27 in Edmonton. Non-title bout.

The showdown will serve as the co-main event of UFC 240 alongside the Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar featherweight matchup on July 27 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Cyborg is coming back from a devastating defeat and title loss at the hands of Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 via knockout. This was Cyborg’s first loss in 14 years.

So, it’ll be interesting to see how she handles the undefeated powerhouse, Felicia Spencer. But it’s not like she doesn’t have an impressive resume, winning an incredible 17 of 20 wins by Knockout.

But, Spencer wanted a piece of Cyborg, and now she got her dream matchup after a big win over Megan Anderson earlier this month. If she can pull off an upset, she might be granted another wish which would likely be a fight against the champ in Amanda Nunez.

But, let’s see how this fight goes before we make any assumptions about any future matchups.
