Cung Le gives up his belt to star in another movie

For those of you who probably have better things to do than prowl IMDB.com, Cung Le is starring in the Tekken movie as Marshall Law. It was announced sometime last year and the date of release is slated for 2009. It’s safe to say that Tekken is not going to premiere this year (and if it does, everyone in there marketing department needs to be simultaneously slapped in the face with an acoustic guitar regardless of time or location). We don’t think Le’s role in Tekken has anything to do with him relinquishing the Strikeforce Middleweight Belt, but it’s just rawesome that Cung Le is going to play the same guy that my 7th grade friends accused me of cheating with. Law is just sick, there is no getting past that existential fact (big word). There’s three things you can rely on: Death, Taxes and me humiliating you with Law in Tekken Tag.

Scott Coker told MMAWeekly that Cung Le has given up his belt to star in another movie (probably a Hong Kong based film called Uncommon Honour). Cung Le has a ridunkulous record of 6-0 in the cage (all with Strikeforce) and like a record of 804-0 in kickboxing. We still get served our Middleweight bread and butter though. Coker has also announced that Mayhem Miller will be teeing off against fellow Bully Beatdowner Jake Shields for the Strikeforce Middleweight title. After the announcement, Mayhem issued an official Twitter press release that stated: “Ok bitches who said I was ducking- I duck NO ONE. Fighting Sheilds on November 7th. Official BOOM”he shortly followed it up by saying I’m over it. Just want my puppy and some good sleep for tomorrow’s day of hard training.” Dude is like a genie of random thoughts. [Source]
