Donald Cerrone wasn’t lying when he said he was going to be a movie star.

Following his MMA retirement at UFC 276, ‘Cowboy’ said you wouldn’t be seeing the last of him. That looks to be the case as the fighter-turned-actor landed a lead role in upcoming movie, ‘Project Legion’.

The Plot

According to Fansided, the movie features Cerrone playing a former marine who fends off zombie-like creatures in a post-apocalyptic setting. It’s ‘Cowboy’ vs. the world as his character boards up his apartment to defend against the ongoing invasion.

The post-apocalyptic flick is slated to release in select theaters on Oct. 7. ‘Project Legion’ will also be available to stream digitally on Oct. 11.

Trailer

You can watch the first trailer for the movie below.

‘Project Legion’ isn’t Cerrone’s first project in the movie industry. The MMA legend has appeared in movies such as ‘The Equalizer 2’, ‘Spenser Confidential’. Cerrone also worked alongside Chris Pratt in ‘The Terminal List’  TV show earlier this year.
