Over the past 23 years the UFC has had over 200 events. According to Shamrock, especially in the early days of the sport, backstage shenanigans in the UFC were common place. The first ten UFC numbered events were likely anything goes in terms of bending the rules, last minute changes, and overall promotional favoritism.
Shamrock has some ideas on why the deck stacked against him for his first two fights with Royce Gracie.
