- Conor McGregor hit the Miami Heat mascot with a hard left hook during a break at Game 4 of the NBA Finals
- The UFC superstar’s much-awaited return is still unsure
UFC superstar Conor McGregor made the best of his Miami trip as he stole the show at Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets.
A showman
If there’s one thing constant about “Notorious” aside from his confidence, that would probably be his showmanship. And that’s exactly what he displayed while watching the NBA Finals on Friday.

During a break in the game, McGregor was called to participate in an intermission which he willingly acknowledged. Moments later, the former UFC two-division champ shockingly threw a hard left hook to the Miami Heat mascot, known as “Burnie.”
Burnie was then immediately knocked out but “Notorious” followed it up with another solid punch. True to form, the fans in attendance were thrilled by McGregor’s act.

Conor’s UFC return is still up in the air
The only thing certain at this point is that McGregor is undeniably looking big and healthy. However, contrary to the initial announcement, there’s still no concrete answer as to whether “Notorious” would be taking on his rival coach Michael Chandler in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 or not.
UFC president Dana White recently admitted that “anything is possible” but he didn’t confirm if McGregor is indeed, facing Chandler after the show’s final episode.
TUF 31’s Episode 2 already aired and Episode 3 is set to follow suit on Tuesday, June 13, on ESPN and ESPN+. The final episode will air on August 15th.
