Conor Mcgregor Calls Out UFC For Putting Out Fight Stats Which Displays Israel Adesanya Set Knockdown Record
Israel Adesanya won the interim middleweight title after defeating Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event of UFC 236 last weekend. It wasn’t all roses for ‘Last Stylebender’ as he ate quite a beating. Alas, he turned the table and landed some meaningful strikes at Gastelum.
Following Adesanya’s victory, UFC took to Twitter and stated that ‘Last Stylebender’ set a record at UFC 236 When he knocked down Gastelum four times in their fight. Then Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie also added in his Tweet that Nigerian-born Kiwi set the record for most knock-downs in a single UFC title fight.
“Israel Adesanya’s (@Stylebender) knockdowns tonight are tied for 3rd most by a fighter in a single @UFC fight, behind Forrest Petz and Jeremy Stephens each connecting with five in a fight. #UFC236” – UFC on Twitter
“Israel Adesanya (@stylebender) dropped Kelvin Gastelum four times at #UFC236. No one has ever connected with more knockdowns in a championship fight.” – Mike Bohn said on Twitter.

Well, that fight stat is pretty impressive however not many agrees that Adesanya set a record, including former UFC champion Conor Mcgregor who disagrees with that too.
Irishman responded to the fight fan who also disputed fight stat.
Wait, what? The @ufc did what? That’s twice now! I want plaques before I’m back. Digital plaques shall do. Hurry up @ufc, I’ll be here. And use a good image.” Mcgregor wrote on Twitter.
