My god, this fight. Cat Zingano came back to the Octagon, and then she came back in her come back fight against what looked like a one-sided beatdown from Amanda Nunes in the first round. The first four minutes of the fight resembled the most technical Street MMA in the world, with Cat eating Nunes’ fists like it was Meow Mix, but then, all fights end up back on the feet, right?
In the second round, Cat Zingano blew up Twitter, and DDT’d Nunes like she was training with Raven’s Flock. Nunes couldn’t seem to overcome what happened to her mentally or physically, then fell into a near-perfect Ken Shamrock ankle lock, then a Cactus Jack double arm DDT.
Worlds collided, and then Cat’s elbows collided with Nunes’ face, until the fight was called and the return was complete.
