The fallout of the upcoming UFC: Fight Night 76 is real. Joseph Duffy gets mildly concussed, drops out of the Poirier main event, and the next thing you know, the UFC has its worst card on paper potentially ever. Of course, Benson Henderson has thrown his name and hat into the cage, and is fine with fighting at 155 or 170. But what about Poirier? He’s still out, so now Benson Henderson is just laying down an open challenge to whoever accepts in Ireland. Benson Henderson is a hero. He’s a man who isn’t afraid of anyone. He will always be ready, and he will fight at any time.
It’s got me thinking about how weird it would be if Benson Henderson DIDN’T accept a short notice fight. I expect it now. And so does Cathal Pendred:
Hey @UFC if you guys need someone for #UFCDublin I’ll be your huckleberry, thx for the heads up @Pendred…170 preferable but I can make 155

Considering how McGregor called out Poirier (because he know it will never happen).
I will give peanut another crack at the King no sweat. I’ll take the gate. It’s my gate anyway. A cool 7. Cash. See you at the weigh ins.

Part of me thinks Benson versus Conor at 170 would be quite the money fight at short notice. But that will never happen, and thinking about possible main events is more exciting than this actual card. Damn.
