I was never a huge Halo guy, and I say that from a standpoint that I have owned all of the main Halo games (Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4) and enjoyed them immensely, but would never go out of my way to say that they were my favorite games or anything. That being said, the second that Bungie’s Destiny was announced I knew that it was going to be a game that I not only wanted, but would probably obsess over. As a huge scifi nerd who also loves wastelands it just seemed to make perfect sense that this game was going to be something special.
Part of what really excited me was giving the guys at Bungie a chance to create something new, something beyond Master Chief and the expectations that come with the Halo franchise. It was a chance for them to spread their wings in a post-Halo world for them. So last night when Bungie showed off the first glimpse of gameplay at E3 during Sony’s conference, well, it was just one of those awesome moments where you get to see a great idea come to life.
This is the official gameplay trailer that they have released.
But this is the footage from last night’s presentation, which shows two players just going through a mission and how the multiplayer aspect will work before they are joined by another player.
This is pretty much everything that I wanted it to be and more.
