Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem set for December 30th, IT’S REALLY HAPPENING

When you’re faced with a fight announcement like this, the only thing you can really do is laugh hysterically. I simply can’t believe the amount UFC has delivered this year. Seriously, commendations need to be awarded. The Los Angeles Times has just announced that Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem has been set for December 30th in Las Vegas and the winner will get an instant title shot between the winner of Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos. As far as the Strikeforce belt, it won’t be part of the promotion — so we’re assuming that it is now vacant.

This is the fight you guys wanted. Two gargantuan human beings coming together to set off the end of 2011 in a spectacular fashion. Bravo, Joe Silva. We love you. [Source]
