For a long time, Brendan Schaub, who used to be a big fighter in the UFC, has been getting mean comments from people on the internet. He’s now a funny guy and talks on his podcast, and usually, he ignores the mean things people say. But this time, he couldn’t just let it go when Nate Diaz said something really mean for no reason.

Schaub and Diaz had a little fight backstage at a famous boxing match years ago, and now, after so much time, it seems like they’re not done being unfriendly with each other.

Nate Diaz’s Unkind Words Make Brendan Schaub Upset

On Friday evening, Nate Diaz decided to share a mean nickname for Brendan Schaub on X, which used to be Twitter.

“Brendan the big ol p**** Schaub,” Diaz wrote on Twitter.

This upset Brendan, who usually tries to ignore unkind comments. But this time, he couldn’t hold back. Brendan challenged Nate to a playful grappling match, saying he thinks it could end with Nate getting hurt.

“Oooh buddy. I prob got 20lbs on you so not too far off,” he responded.

“I’ll snap your neck. Set up a grappling match and let me know how it goes for you. Have one of your handlers read this tweet and get back to me.”

The 41-year-old had a little fun by sharing his reaction on Instagram and adding a silly note about why he thought Nate Diaz might have said something mean for no reason. Brendan also got even more serious about his idea for a grappling match, saying he really wants to do it.

“Not sure what set this dude off. Mentioning CTE I assume.

“All good. Do something about it bud. I’m not hard to find. Have your handlers set up a grappling match. Let’s see how it goes for you.”

Schaub retired from MMA back in December 2014, after a tough loss to Travis Browne, following a supportive talk from his friend Joe Rogan. A decade later, he’s glad he made that choice. Recently, he felt emotional discussing his old training partner Shane Carwin, who has struggled to find work due to brain issues after fighting. Schaub received a big offer from Jorge Masvidal for a bare-knuckle fight but declined, saying he doesn’t want to get hit in the head anymore and doesn’t need to be extremely rich. It’s unclear why Nate Diaz insulted him, but they may resolve their differences in the future.
