Since Asia considers Bob Sapp some sort of demigod, it’s no surprise that ONE FC has chosen The Beast to compete against Rolles Gracie in their second card which will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia. MiddleEasy will be there just to see what it will be like when Sapp fights in an MMA promotion that actually allows soccer kicks and head stomps. Some of you remember the last time Bob Sapp was supposed to fight in Asia. It was scheduled for Dynamite!! 2010 against Shinichi Suzukawa in an open-palm, Pancrase style match-up. Bob Sapp claimed FEG promised him a $30,000 purse, but it was reduced to $15,000 when he arrived in Japan for the event. Literally minutes before he was supposed to compete in the NYE card, Sapp refused to enter the arena and we were all left with an extra fifteen minutes to down our energy drinks in order to stay up for the remainder of the night. FEG officials contested Sapp’s claim and even called him out Twitter, mentioning Sapp ‘should not be considered as a normal person’ and he is ‘the worst, most lamentable dust man.’ FEG either announced Sapp was a supervillain with the ability to control dust — or Google translator needs a little work.
